COHERENCE THERAPY
for LASTING change
WHAT IS COHERENCE THERAPY...
Coherence Therapy uses a non-counteractive process to create LASTING CHANGE. It's based on research on MEMORY RECONSOLIDATION that Bruce Ecker and Laurel Hulley took and created a therapeutic process that directly followed the knowledge that, unlike many other therapeutic processes, our inner psychological constructs, can change. It's not just laying down a parallel neurological pathway that can crumble under pressure and return to type, but to truly transform.

The aim is to access the UNCONSCIOUS constructs that we learned and embodied so it lives implicitly (outside our conscious knowing).

The very 'symptom' or challenging pattern we want to be rid of, such as anxiety, depression, imposter syndrome, people pleasing, etc. ... is NECESSARY for us to survive, not just when we learnt it, but now.

These are the underlying CORE BELIEFS which have an adaptive function to ensure safety, wellbeing, and the ability to move through life, the way we 'know' best.

We work together to reveal this underlying SCHEMA and work EXPERIENTIALLY to update here.

Here's the catch...
You can't change your coherent symptom, just by 'thinking' about it. It requires us to CONNECT deeply with the underlying belief (how the world works and what we need to do to make life work for us) and re-activate it EMOTIONALLY. It's this process that opens the belief to become deconstructed. This can take processing of the emotional truths, by acknowledging the loss, shame, fear, and guilt.

To truly change your schema, we need to update the schema in the here-and-now, by updating ourselves on CURRENT REALITY.

That's why positive thinking, reading books, listening to podcasts, and even journalling isn't enough to transform the underlying root cause of your issues.

I will work with you, to help you reveal the underlying constructs and see the expectations that hold you hostage, so that you can now release it and renew your ability to choose a conscious responsive that's adaptive to your current desires, your current reality, your current being ... and not that (often young) part of you, that absorbed that this was the way you survived and thrived.

But if you want to change... you can. It's an engaging process. Explaining your problem isn't enough, engaging in change creates TRANSFORMATION.
